CANTON, Ga. – The Southern Athletic Association released their 2024 Fall Academic Honor Roll, honoring the student-athletes who maintained a 3.25 term GPA or higher in the classroom on Friday.
A total of 86 Millsaps College student-athletes garnered a spot on the coveted list –the most since at least 2016 during a Fall term. Currently records of the Fall SAA Academic Honor Roll date back to the 2017 campaign.
In total, 862 student-athletes made the honor roll from the SAA's nine full-time and football-sponsored schools.
The Millsaps football program led the way with 26 undergraduates after 22 student-athletes were recognized the previous season.
Men's soccer placed second with an impressive 23 out of 29 student-athletes. The women's soccer team was next with 15 honorees.
Volleyball was next with nine student-athletes, while women's cross country secured eight of a possible nine awardees. Additionally, all five of the men's cross country runners made the grade.
To qualify, student athletes must meet the requirements of maintaining at least a 3.25 GPA during the Fall semester and must be a member of a varsity athletic team sponsored by the SAA.
